One of your first questions you may have in viewing this site is probably, "what is the engrafted word?". The answer is found in the word of God. James 1:21 tells us that we should lay aside all of our sins from the past and receive with meekness the engrafted word which is able to save our souls.

One of our greatest desires of The Engrafted Word Ministries is to clearly express to our audience God's total love for you. Not only does God want to save your soul but He genuinely cares for your total existence. To that end, Engrafted Word Ministries seeks to serve the total person- spirit, mind and body.

More than seven years ago our senior pastor, Bishop Michael J. Rogers presented a vision from God to Deacon Wilburt L. Key. This vision, based on the Word of God found in Matthew 25:35-46 grew into a ministry called "The Least of These Ministry".

Under the direction of Deacon Key, this ministry has feed more than 50,000 people in the Hampton Roads area over the past 10 years. Not only does Deacon Key volunteer his services in feeding the hungry at Tidewater Bibleway Temple every Monday evening, he also feeds hungry people in his community directly from his own kitchen as the need arises.

Men and women in the Portsmouth area have come to depend on Deacon Key to help feed the hungry, house the homeless, clothe the unfortunate, and help the unemployed find jobs. As word spread throughout the community about Deacon Key's success rate at helping those in need, he began to refer the women needing help to his wife, Dr. Denise L. Key.

As the needs of the community began to supercede the Keys' ability to support this undertaking on their own, God released to them a greater outreach ministry, The Engrafted Word Ministry.
